Who you are contracting with
The Portal Passport is the travel brand of The Portal by Selectro, a registered Mauritian event-promotion company. When you take a place on this journey, your contract is with that company.
We are not the festival, and we do not run it. We organise the way there, the accommodation, the ground transport, the group and the people accompanying it. We make no promise about the festival's programme, its line-up, its facilities or its own conditions of entry.
These terms are governed by the law of Mauritius, and the courts of Mauritius have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Registering is not a booking
Registering takes no payment, holds no place and commits you to nothing. It puts you on the list to be considered for a festival ticket from our limited allocation, and it tells us which package interests you.
The allocation is ordered by the time you registered, and by nothing else. It is first come, first served. Buying a larger package, paying early or paying in full does not improve your position and never will. Not everyone who registers will be allocated a ticket; everyone hears either way on 28 September 2026.
You do not have to buy a package to be considered for a ticket. That is a real option on the form and it is not a lesser one.
The form asks you to accept two things, and they are deliberately separate. These terms and the privacy policy, which is required and is what you are agreeing to by registering. And email about future journeys, which is not required, starts unticked, and can be withdrawn whenever you like — refusing it changes nothing about your registration or your position in the allocation.
You must be resident in Mauritius and over 18 to register. If you live elsewhere, write to us instead.
Paying
There are two ways to pay and there is no third. In full, by bank transfer — or with a loan you arrange yourself with Rogers Capital Credit Ltd, who settle the full amount with us on your behalf. There is no deposit stage, no instalment and no payment plan.
There are two dates, and the first one is yours. If you are allocated a place when the allocation is announced on 28 September 2026, your payment has to reach us by 1 October 2026. A place not paid for by then — and for which no financing has been applied for — is released on 2 October 2026 to the next person in registration order. If you are the person who takes a place released that way, your deadline is 5 October 2026, which is the last day any payment is accepted from anyone, for any reason.
If you pay by card there is an additional fee. It is quoted to you before you pay anything.
Two price reductions apply on the lead package and both are capped. The first two travellers to pay in full are not charged for the festival ticket. The next fifteen to pay in full take MUR 10,000 off. After that, and after 5 October 2026, the price is the list price. Both are decided by the order payments are received — which is a different queue from the one that decides who is allocated a ticket, and neither affects the other.
Both dates are earlier than they could be, deliberately. Three days between the announcement and the last payment, over a weekend, with a Mauritian bank transfer in the middle, is one slow transfer away from losing a place for no reason.
If you borrow to pay
We name Rogers Capital Credit Ltd on this site because their unsecured personal lending covers the price of a place, and because saying nothing about how people afford this would be less useful than saying something.
We are not a credit broker and we are not their agent. We receive no commission, no referral fee and no notification if you apply. You deal with them directly, and the rate you are offered, the term and whether you are approved at all are entirely their decisions.
Nothing you type into this site reaches them. There is no form of theirs here, no upload and no referral of any kind. They will ask you for an identity card, proof of address, a payslip and bank statements: you give those to them, through their own channel, and none of it passes through us — there is nowhere on this site for it to go.

A loan is between you and the lender, and nothing that happens to your journey changes it. You remain responsible for repaying it unless the lender agrees otherwise, and that remains true if you cannot travel.
Non-refundable, and not transferable either
This is the unusual term and it is the reason this page exists. Your payment is not refundable from the moment it reaches us. There is no cooling-off window in which it sits waiting to be sent back, and there is no sliding refund scale.
The reason is on the calendar. Payments arrive between 28 September and 5 October 2026, and on 6 October 2026 the money is spent — a festival ticket bought in your name, and a deposit paid to the airline. It is committed from the day it arrives because the days between are what it is being collected for.
Nor can your place be passed to anybody else. The festival ticket is issued to a named person, and the festival states that tickets on the price band which applies to Mauritius are non-transferable. The flight carries a name as well. So there is no substitution, no name change and no resale: not for a fee, not with our approval, and not at any point before departure.
An earlier version of these terms offered a paid substitution. It was withdrawn on 9 September 2026, before anybody had registered under it, because the festival does not permit the substitution it described. If you were shown that version, this one replaces it.
If we cancel the journey, or if you pay and are not allocated a festival ticket you were told you would receive, everything you paid is returned to you in full. That is the other side of the same term: your payment is not refundable because it is spent on your journey, so where there is no journey to spend it on there is nothing for us to keep.
Travel insurance is compulsory on this journey and is included in every package. It is what answers illness, injury and a family emergency once the money has been spent, and it is the reason those events are not handled by a refund. With no refund and no transfer available, it is the only thing standing between you and a total loss if you cannot travel. Read what it covers before you pay rather than after.
What may change
Flight times are set by the airline and are not published for July 2027 yet. The routing is fixed; the clock times are confirmed to you in writing as soon as they exist, and a change to them is not a change to the contract.
Hotels are named to you before departure. If one becomes unavailable we substitute another of at least equivalent standard in the same city, and we tell you.
The sunrise balloon has one morning and no second attempt. If the operator cancels it on safety grounds, you are refunded to the extent that operator refunds us, and no further.
If we have to make a significant change to the journey before departure — a change of dates, or the loss of a whole leg — you may accept it, take an alternative if we can offer one, or cancel and be refunded in full.
Your documents
Your passport, your visas and your ETIAS authorisation are your responsibility. What you need depends entirely on the passport you hold; we confirm your case individually once you have a place, and your Passport record tracks what is outstanding. Visa and ETIAS fees are not included.
We collect no identity document at registration. No passport number, no scan, no date of birth, no nationality, no address — the form rejects them before it validates, and there is nowhere on this site for a file to be uploaded. Details needed for ticketing are collected from allocated travellers, by a person, after 28 September 2026.
Tickets are issued in the name you give at registration. It must match your passport exactly. A correction after ticketing is an airline fee and it is yours.
Photographs and film
Professional content creators travel with the group and photograph and film the journey. By accepting these terms you consent to being photographed and filmed in respectable conditions during the public parts of the journey, and to that material being used by us to show what this journey is.
In return, you receive shareable footage of your own journey after the return.
You may withdraw that consent at any time, before or during the journey, and nothing else about your place changes. Tell a host or write to us. We will not film you, and we remove existing material of you from anything we control.
On the journey
You are expected to follow the law of the country you are in, the festival's own conditions of entry, and the reasonable instructions of the people accompanying the group where safety or the group's movement is concerned.
Camping equipment is not included in any package. Food and drink are yours throughout — apart from any breakfast included with your hotel room — as are personal spending and anything bought at the festival.
If your conduct makes it unsafe or unreasonable for the group to continue with you, we may end your participation. In that case there is no refund, and getting home is at your own cost — and this is written down so that it is not a surprise, not because we expect to use it.
What we answer for
We are responsible for arranging the journey as described and for exercising reasonable skill and care in doing so. We are responsible for the acts of the suppliers we choose in performing that arrangement.
We are not responsible for the festival's own programme or facilities, for anything you arrange yourself, for delay or disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control, or for loss or damage that travel insurance is the proper answer to. Insurance is compulsory here for exactly that reason and it is included.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in them affects any right you have under Mauritian consumer law.
Changes to these terms
The terms that apply to you are the ones published on the day you accepted them, and the written confirmation issued when your place is held. We keep the version you accepted.
When this page changes we change the date at the top of it, and we say plainly what changed rather than relying on you to re-read it.
